Jim Schoettler 33 years old Denver, Colorado Jim has spent most of the past decade living in San Francisco. This January, he fulfilled a long-held promise to move back to his home state of Colorado with Whistler (his constant canine companion). Jim will spend the summer musing about which pair of shorts to wear to Jesse's September wedding. Jesse Roach 35 years old Albuquerque, New Mexico Jesse has spent the last few years in Tucson working on his Ph.D in Hydrology which he will receive (finally!) officially in May. He recently moved to Albuquerque (close to his roots) with his fiance Lisa. He is excited about sharing the summer's adventure with his crazy dog, Scooter. Jim and Jesse met on the Stanford Ultimate Frisbee team in 1993. They have shared many adventures together, including a thru-hike of the 2700-mile Pacific Crest Trail in the summer of 1997. They are both looking forward to returning to the wilderness this spring to raise money for bone marrow research and donor programs.
